Meet this wallet
The holder keeps keys A and B. A provider keeps key C. Any two different keys are needed to approve a payment.
The wallet app brings everything together. In this example, it also holds the only copy of the wallet setup information.
What is a signing key?
A signing key lets a device approve a Bitcoin transaction. This example uses three different keys and requires two of them. A second copy of the same key does not count as a different key.
Any two different keys are needed

No secrets, devices or real transactions are needed for this example.
About this example
This is a generic 2-of-3 wallet, not a TBA service model. The holder is available and authorised, the keys are usable, and no theft or malicious software is involved. Technical ability to spend does not prove legal authority. Your actual arrangements may differ.
Agree a review date and revisit after a wallet, provider, family or access change. Plan proportionate checks with appropriate help. This exercise does not ask you to expose backups or move bitcoin.
This is preparation, not a recovery test, legal document or confirmation that your arrangements are complete.
Would you like to discuss how these dependencies apply to your arrangements?
My support is provided through The Bitcoin Adviser. We can discuss your questions and whether TBA’s ongoing service fits your needs.
The client service includes support implementing the agreed custody arrangement, a personalised Estate Plan Protocol, family introductions and ongoing guidance. Legal and tax matters remain with your own qualified professionals. TBA cannot move client bitcoin alone.
Already a TBA client, or a family member of one?
Use your own Estate Plan Protocol and contact your assigned adviser. You can arrange a joint family introduction within the normal service. Further family contact is subject to consent, confidentiality and the appropriate authority.
For an estate situation, follow the “Start here” contacts in the client’s protocol: TBA Estate Support, the primary contact and the alternative contact. TBA Estate Support is available at contact@thebitcoinadviser.com. Use the contacts in your own document rather than assuming Wenze is your assigned adviser.
The authorised representative and required documents must be verified before a transfer. TBA does not charge an additional estate-processing fee for that transfer; inheritance taxes and other external costs may still apply. Access is not immediate and depends on the applicable process and documentation.
